Adult computer
classes are held two days per week -Wednesday and Friday
from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The classes consist of
Basic computer skills (e.g. Introduction to computers,
Keyboarding and Internet surfing) as well as Intermediate
and Advanced course offerings in the areas of Microsoft
Office (Word 2007, Excel 2007, and PowerPoint 2007).
Senior Citizens meet three days per week for social, exercise, and
Health Care discussions by a
Health Care Professional.
Classes are Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon,
Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Fridays from 10:00
a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The exercise class help
senior citizens to develop motor skills and to promote good
health habits.
Games
The Senior Citizens Program also provide social interaction:
playing Cards, Dominoes, and Arts and Crafts. Also,
birthdays are celebrated every six months with a party.
Senior Participants are also provided Health
Presentations by a Registered Nurse.
Chat 'n' Chew
The Chat 'n' Chew program tests your taste buds. This also
allow seniors to fellowship with others every other month as we
visit local and out-of-area restaurants. Lunch is a
"Dutch" treat and transportation to destinations outside the
Demopolis area costs $5 per person. Please see schedule
(available at the Activity Center) for
future trips.
